If you really need giant sticky notes you can get them from MegaSticky, but if you're looking to tidy up your desk and save the planet maybe software stickies are the answer.

There are many virtual sticky notes programs available. Microsoft Office has them as a part of Outlook.

The one I use and, in my humble opinion, the best of the free ones for Windows users is Stickies for Windows. It's far better than the Outlook clunker.

You can make them any width you like. They automatically expand vertically as you fill them with text. You can use the usual shortcuts to make text bold or italic or both. You can change the font face or the font size.   You can change the colour of the note or the text. You can toggle the note to stay on top of other stuff on the screen by clicking that little triangle at the top. You can even make your note semi-transparent until you click on it. This is an excellent little utility program and it's compatible with all versions of Windows including 64-bit Vista.

If you use more than one computer you can easily synchronize your Stickies data using Microsoft's SyncToy or, even better, 2BrightSparks' SyncBack; both free programs.
